What’s the difference between Intramural, Interleague and Travel?

Our youngest Intramural players start at the U3-U4 Little Eaglets program where they develop running, kicking and dribbling skills while working on listening and following directions.

The intramural program continues with U5 Eaglets & U6 Hawks players that build on soccer skills through various play and movement.

In the U7 Golden Eagles program they will begin to scrimmage and learn the fundamentals of the game.

Organized soccer is U8 Interleague, when players will have the first opportunity to play with an expanded roster (6v6) against opposing towns, including the use of a goalie and playing on a larger field.

At U9 the player can either continue to play in Interleague or tryout for a Travel Team. Interleague is generally a more relaxed team experience whereas Travel is more organized with trainers, referees, assistant referees and team based involvement in tournaments and winter training. The cost of Travel is more expensive than Interleague since there are league fees and team based trainer fees.

The soccer program runs September to June.
